The methods of financing business growth, the sources of finance and their availability, the mechanism used for procuring and utilizing the funds productively and profitably have been diversifying and progressively changing hence in–depth knowledge of different aspects of Banking, Insurance and other financial services and thorough understanding of the practical application of theory has become imperative.

In view of University of Mumbai has introduced Bachelor of Commerce (Banking and Insurance) from the Academic Year 2003-04 to meet the changing times, our College introduced the B.Com. programme in Banking and Insurance from the Academic Year 2004-05.

Today MMK: BBI is decade long popular course aiming at all-round development of students with Curricular, Co-Curricular and Extra-Curricular activities. It has All Market and Career Oriented subjects opted with innovative methodology. experienced & Industry based faculty grooming. which makes teaching-learning more relevant in today’s BFSI World.

BBI Department is based on following broad Objectives:

  • To prepare students to exploit opportunities, being newly created, in the field of Banking and Insurance due to Globalization, Privatization and Liberalization.

  • To provide adequate exposure to operational environment in the field of Banking, Insurance and other related financial services.

  • To inculcate training and practical approach among the students by using modern technologies in the field of Banking, Insurance, etc.

  • In the changing world scenario where finance, especially Banking and Insurance, play a key role, the need to tune our educational system to cater to the paced changes is very much felt.
